Two new Fender Jaguar Basses in the shop. As always with Japanese Fenders (Marcus Miller IV & Geddy Lee models too), these basses combine classic looks, perfect construction and finish, as well as great sound. There never was a Fender Jaguar Bass, but despite being a new creation it looks dead vintage, thanks to those details inherited from the Jaguar guitar: special pickguard and control plates, Strat meets Tele body, block inlays and matching headstock.

We're back from the U.S. We enjoyed the visits to the Fender factories in Corona and Ensenada. All the american instruments are manufactured at the Corona facilities, including the great Custom Shop and Master Built basses. We were impressed by the Fender factory in Mexico, as it is one of the most modern and well organized guitar factories we've ever seen.
The NAMM show was one of the busiest ever, and some booths like Foder and Epifani were packed all the time.
One of the best things in this trip was being able to be at the Fodera 25th Anniversay party, with live performances by Matt Garrison, Lincoln Goines, Victor Wooten, Mike Pope, Steve Bailey, Mike Bendy and Fodera's own Joey Lauricella.
Stay tuned for the arrival of some great basses in a few days.

We kick off the New Year with lots of news: in a few days we'll be heading fro the US to attend the NAMM show. We have been invited by Fender to visit their factories in California and Mexico, so stay tuned for our report.
Next, we are working on our new website. This will be faster, clearer and easier to surf than ever. Also, the accessories section will include lots of new products, and placing an order will be easier and faster. There's still loads to do, but we expect it will be ready in a couple of months.
December has been really busy around here, with lots of visists from customers (thank you all). Even 6 strings are sometimes not enough. With this LTD B-208FM we start out section of "more than 6". Soon we'll have 10 and 12 string basses. These are not ERB's (Extended Range Basses), but basses with twin strings (one normal, one octaved), in a similar fashion to 12 string acoustic guitars. If you've never tried this before, you'll be in for a really nice surprise, as these basses are true inspiring instruments.

It's good to see that brands like Sandberg produce new models apart from their standard models. This is the case here with the brand new Panther Special modelm, that combines perfectly exotic woods, great sound and playability. It is also the first Sandberg with a 35" scale.

3 very special basses from Irish luthier Crhis Larkin. Here you can see Chris in his shop, just before packing the basses and shipping them to us. Two of them are based on Chris's own design, which he calls Reacter 5B. One of them is fairly standard, and the other has been custom made for a customer and shows just how individual each customer and each order is. The third bass is an impressive looking-impressive sounding Singlecut fretless 6 string.

We have just received the first few pieces of the latest (very) Limited Warwick Basses. They are based on the successful Corvette $$ model, but with some special features. They have been named the WHITE DRAGONS, and are the first in a series of special Dragons that will come from Warwick's Bassland in the next few months.
The WHITE DRAGON basses come with a gorgeous AAA quilted maple top and matching headstock, Bartolini MM pickups and a special dragon head inlay at the 12th fret. 32 of these basses have been built (16 four string and 16 five string), and these are the only 2 basses we'll have, so hurry up. Lakland Pickups and Preamp

Lakland is proud to introduce their new line of custom wound pickups and matching preamp (the LH3), available this spring for all -94 and -02 series basses. Featuring Alnico magnets, the pickups are made entirely in-house at the Lakland factory in Chicago, Ill.
"These new pickups and preamp indicate the next evolution in the Lakland product line," company President Dan Lakin said. "Other major manufacturers make their own pickups, which lend to their distinctive, defining voices. We realized the time was right for us to take this all-important next step as well," he continued.
The pickups will be available in humbucker configurations for both four and five-string Lakland basses. These pickup/preamp systems will be offered to existing Lakland owners as an upgrade. Other brands of pickups will continue to be available on Lakland basses.

Here's our first Marleaux. It is a Consat Fretless Edition 5 that we hand picked at the last Frankfurt show, after signing an exclusive dealer contract with this German brand.
Words just don't do justice to this instrument. It is simply amazing!

He picked up today a Bob Glaub Signature (Skyline series) with a sweet Lindy Fralin pickup; he also chose a Darryl Jones (also Skyline) that he left to have a J-Retro 01 preamp installed. Last week we did our yearly trip to the largest music show in the world, the Frankfurt Musikmesse. It's been 4 intense days where we've seen all the latest news from the bass world, as well as top demos and performances. We will shortly upload a full report; we shot more than 800 pictures, so please be patient!
One of the most expected news that were introduced were KSD lefthanded basses. We will receive both 4 and 5 string models in the May shipment.
