In my opinion, Chris Larkin is one of the best luthiers in the world.
This Irishman has been working alone for the last 30
years with the intention of making the best instruments he possibly can.
Of course he chooses only the best material, and you benefit from his years of experience.
You may choose a standard model or order something completely different. Chris will make it flawlessly.
I have been in contact with Chris for some years and we have constant
and fluent conversations on instruments, music and more. I have to
admit I have learnt a lot these years. Thanks Chris!
I have to admit that one of the most beautiful parts of this business
(at least is what I enjoy the most) is helping a customer write a list
with the exact specs for their new handmade instrument. This is an
exciting process, where your ideas can turn into perfectly working and
great sounding instruments. Fortunately, Chris takes part of this early
stage and makes whatever suggestions to improve the original idea.
The building process itself is quite an experience, and we are glad
that Chris sends us (sometimes on a daily basis) pictures as he is
working.
