We got to try this amazing Custom Shop bass at the NAMM show in Los Angeles when it was released earlier this year. There were lots of amazing Custom Shop Fender basses there, but we chose this one for its amazing sound, feel and look. It really sounds warm and deep thanks to the specially wound vintage Single Coil pickups and stock flatwounds. The neck pickup might be the closest we've ever heard to a P Bass on a Jazz Bass. Amazing! We also liked the fact that this bass has a reasonable price tag as opposed to some over the top creations.
