Here's a really remarkable bass. We've wanted to have this bass since we held a clinic with Richard Bona in our shop a few years ago. This bass is exactly like Bona's except he runs it passive and has a MIDI pickup. It is a simply perfect bass in terms of ergonomics, sound, playability, dynamics, etc. It blends beautifully the clean and transparent response of EMG's with the body of a Fodera Neckthru bass. We asked Vinnie Fodera to choose a lightweight piece of ash for the body to make it lighter than other Fodera 5's and it works just great. The traditional 34" scale and special body design means everything is within reach from the 1st up to the 24th fret. Great low B, of course. The range of sounds from the EMG/Mike Pope pickup/preamp combo is nothing short of amazing. The ramp is great for Garrison-Wiilis technique, but you can remove it if you don't need it. Just one of the best basses that we have ever received, period.
