In 1991 Deviser (Japan) created Bacchus Guitar and bass brand, which at the time focused in producing copies of Gibson and Fender with incredible attention to detail. Also Bacchus offered their own designs. They made their own pickups and electronics too, something unusal for Japanese manufacturers. These electronics are really good quality. That's why most Bacchus users very rarely change the pickups of their instruments.

Wood is stored and dried naturally for the needed time, ensuring the stability of the necks, avoiding problems in the future.

In 2005 Bacchus ended their production of copies and concentrated on original designs.

Apart from their top end Japanese production, Bacchus also has a more affordable line of instruments called "Universe Series". Despite the low price tag, you get a lot for what you pay.

Roasted Maple Series

Roasted Maple is a material that comes as a result of treating Maple wood with a high heat process, volatilizing the water and oils in the wood, giving as a result a more sturdy and durable wood that not only increases stability but also the overall sound quality of the material. The sound that we get from Roasted Maple is a rich, organic sound with a vintage-like tone that is reminiscent of an instrument that has aged its sound with time and usage. This is a new product lineup of Bacchus that puts this amazing feature, which is often used in high-end models, at a reasonable price range.

Ash body see-through color

Ash wood that provides a great range is used for the body, and it is finished in a see-through color that makes the most of the wood grain.

Graphtec TUSQ Nut

With a high-quality Graphtec TUSQ nut which is a great feature in terms of both function and sound. It also improves tuning stability.

Woodline Series' Turbo Switch

A feature from the top-tier Woodline Handmade series, the turbo switch is also included in this model. The turbo switch that allows you to connect both pickups in series (instead or parallel) by pulling up the tone knob and giving, as a result a more powerful, rounded tone. (While the turbo switch is on effect, the neck pickup volume control dictates the volume of the whole system, and the bridge pickup volume control is bypassed).

The Low B in this bass is really good too.
